Objective

Mission
To provide the theoretical framework, tools & terminology to function competently in business-engineering projects, especially in the planning & development of business models & marketing plans, while experiencing a real CE business-engineering project from concept to product development, and also providing an opportunity for reciprocal transfer of knowledge between different undergraduate courses and programmes in business, engineering, and others (note: this course is co-requisite with a project course and a third course on Circular Economics).

Goals
• To emphasize advantages of - via cases - Social Responsibility focusing on Circular Economics
• To understand CE business models and the types of arenas and products within this field
• To understand the supply chains and value chains - the flow of materials from resources to end user
• To know how to develop a Business Model and a full-blown Marketing or Business Plan
• To provide a general understanding of the science and psychology of business
• To provide a specific understanding of the Marketing Management Process comprised of the Marketing System & other crucial components as well as intentional PESTLE factors.
• To understand these above processes from Strategic Entrepreneurship to Corporate Strategy
• To develop basic competence in business communication and strategy development
• Provide a context for consolidation and further development of existing inter-disciplinary knowledge
• Provide a context for the further development of personal transferable skills in terms of communication (i.e. working with 'new' people, across different cultures, areas of knowledge/expertise, preconceptions, and backgrounds)
• Project Management - the PMBOK* - knowledge and theory of the PMP - To provide an integrated, international perspective on project work, cultures, functions and personal transferable skills as this course is connected to other subjects and ultimately work and life
