Objective
On completion of the course, the student • forms an overall understanding of the field of trade and its importance in Finland • can describe the customer target groups of different retail trade sectors and what they spend money on • is able to explain the role and functions of retailers in the distribution chain • is able to describe the means by which entrepreneurial retailing competes • can define the role of the entrepreneur in the retail chain and in the chain enterprise.

Assessment schedule for the study unit:
• Study unit completed by 11 October at the latest → the teacher will complete the assessment by 27 November at the latest.
