The course is designed to be completed in three parts. The schedule can be adapted to suit individual circumstances.

Objective

The study unit deepens competence in the responsible use of artificial intelligence in expert roles. Upon completing the study unit, the student will be able to:
• use artificial intelligence in their own work while weighing different dimensions of responsibility and assessing the impacts of its use
• identify key risks, constraints, and opportunities in the use of artificial intelligence relevant to their own practice
• critically evaluate their own practice as a user of artificial intelligence
• use artificial intelligence to support learning and problem-solving
• act transparently and with clear justification when using artificial intelligence as part of their own work.

The competence requirements of the study unit correspond to foundational-level competence in accordance with the Ministry of Education and Culture’s framework for artificial intelligence competence (OKM, https://okm.fi/tekoaly-ja-osaamine n).
