Objective
Operating and cost environment - Students are familiar with the different ways of organising and providing social and health services and the guiding legislation. - Students understand the importance of productivity and profitability of organisations and companies’ operations and are able to assess the costs and productivity of operations. Work community development - Students understand and know the importance of development and quality in the production of a service. - Students are able to create new work practices and business ideas. Entrepreneurship and business organisation - Students have the basic skills to start a business and also know how to use public advisory services to start a business. - Students know the social significance of entrepreneurship and the relationship between the economy and business. Supervisory work and management - Students understand the importance of management and human resources for the success of the organisation and the company. - Students identify general work skills, responsibilities and ways of organising work and adopt an entrepreneurial approach to work.

The orientation will be recorded and will be available for viewing for 2 weeks in the Moodle workspace of the course. The recording will include only the teacher’s section. Materials
Learning material in the Moodle workspace. The workspace will open at the start of the course on 25 May 2026, after the orientation session. Students will receive course start information and login instructions for Moodle via email approximately one week before the course begins.

Exam dates and re-examinations:
The course examination will be conducted in EXAM.
The examinations will be available from 1 June to 31 July 2026. Examination dates will be discussed during the orientation session.
A failed examination may be retaken twice at specified re-examination times; thereafter, the course must be retaken. The course grade can be improved once in the course’s re-examination sessions.
