Objective

After the course, the student understands the basic principles of relational databases and masters the fundamentals of SQL. He or she is able to create a database and define table structures, as well as insert, retrieve, and update data using SQL queries. The student is able to use aggregate functions for data analysis and understands the basics of database design and normalization.

Introduction to relational databases and the relational model, fundamentals of database design, basics of SQL, database and table creation, data insertion and updating, data retrieval and aggregate functions, fundamentals of database modeling and normalization.
