Objective
The CCNP Enterprise: Core Networking (ENCOR) course provides you with the knowledge and skills needed to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot an enterprise network. It introduces you to overlay network design through SD-Access and SD-WAN solutions and teaches you to implement security principles and automation and programmability within an enterprise network.
CCNP Enterprise is a professional-level certification that validates your ability to handle complex networking solutions at an enterprise scale. It is a great next step for network engineers who have already earned their CCNA certification. This course is aligned to the updated version of the CCNP ENCOR 350-401 exam, version 1.2. When you pass this exam, you will earn the Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise Core certification, which is also part of the CCNP Enterprise certification.
By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
Design, implement, secure, and automate enterprise networks
Troubleshoot complex networking issues
Effectively deliver enterprise networking content
Learners will gain the skills to design, build, secure, troubleshoot, automate, and teach enterprise networks:
After completing the course, you can:
Take the ENCOR 350-401 exam
Prepare for certifications:
Cisco Certified Specialist – Enterprise Core
CCNP Enterprise
CCIE Enterprise (qualification step)

Methods of Completion
Self-Paced Learning
- Learners access course materials at their own convenience via an online learning platform (Cisco NetAcad, Moodle, etc.).
- Content is structured into modules or units, allowing learners to progress in sequence or revisit topics as needed.
Practical Exercises
- Interactive labs or simulations (e.g., Cisco Packet Tracer, virtual machines) provide hands-on experience.
- These are usually embedded in each module to reinforce theoretical knowledge.
- Completion may be tracked automatically or submitted as part of progress monitoring.
Review Tests
- Short quizzes or knowledge checks are included after each module.
- These tests help learners assess their understanding before progressing.
- Some platforms require a minimum score to unlock the next module or to be eligible for the final test.
Final Assessment (Web-Based Final Test)
- A comprehensive online exam covering all course content.
- Typically timed and sometimes proctored, depending on the platform.
