Opintojakso alkaa luennoilla ja jatkuu kirjoitusnopeuden harjoituksilla. Opintojaksoa rytmittää luentojen ja nopeusharjoitusten vuorottelu. Opintojakson päättää arvioitava yksilötentti, joka on samalla kirjoittamisen nopeuskoe kirjoitustulkin pätevyyteen, tavoitteena arvosana 3.

Objective

Students will be able to
- describe the tasks of speech-to-text interpreters
- identify the practices of speech-to-text interpreting
- identify differences between spoken and written language
- produce speech-to-text
- use speech-to-text interpreting software

- intralingual interpreting
- conventions, abbreviations, ergonomics
- differences between spoken and written language
- orthography, plain-language writing
- speed tests, applications
