Students
• know how to anticipate, identify and assess changes in the vital functions of a critically ill/perioperative patient in various operating environments
• know how to execute evidence-based decision-making and activities in the nursing of critically ill/perioperative patients and utilise the expertise of a multi-professional team
• know how to identify risks related to the treatment and pharmacotherapy of a critically ill/perioperative patient and medical device safety and act to promote patient safety
• know how to support and guide patients and their immediate circle to keep up with activities that preserve health, wellbeing and quality of life
• know how to analyse and assess the impact of nursing critically ill/perioperative patients as well as the health and wellbeing risks during and after nursing
• know how to develop evidence-based decision-making and activities according to ethical and financial principles
• know how to independently and under supervision administer the pharmacotherapy prescribed to a patient
