Part 1: Weeks 42-44 (19th October-5th November 2021) Concepts and theories of multidimensional sustainable development
- Online orientation lecture: 19th October, 2021 at 16-18 EET
- Assignment 1 on key concepts (individual written assignment). Deadline 5th November 2021

Part 2: Weeks 45-46 (8th-19th November 2021): Opportunities and obstacles of sustainable development in different contexts.
- Online lecture and workshop: 16th November 2021, at 16-18 2021 EET
- Assignment 2: Online discussion based on an article. Deadline 12th November 2021.

Part 3: Weeks 47-49 (29th November-10th December): Sustainable development in practice
- Assignment 3: Written project analysis (based on existing project material). Deadline 3rd December 2021.
- Online final seminar: 7th December 2021, at 16-19 2021 EET

Objective

The student
• is able to analyse the concepts and theories of multidimensional sustainable development.
• is able to analyse the interconnectedness of social, economic and environmental perspectives.
• is able to analyse the opportunities and obstacles of sustainable development in urban and rural contexts.
• is able to promote integrated action to combat social, economic and environmental challenges in communities.
• is able to apply sustainable developmental goals to community development in practice.
