Nursing Swedish (5cr)

Objective

Competency aims:
• The aim of the course is to give the student basic knowledge of the Swedish language and how to use it in everyday situations.

Learning outcomes:
At the end of the course the student is expected to be able to
• Cope in routine everyday situations (orally, simple instructions, greetings)
• Be acquainted with the Swedish alphabet and pronunciation
• Write very simple messages, for example personal data on a form
• Form simple sentences and questions in the present tense both orally and in writing
• Understand the essential information in very simple texts, as statements about someone (reading comprehension)
• Understand words and expressions when the interlocutor is speaking very slowly

• Texts and dialogues
• Focus is on nursing interactions
