Objective

Students
• know the principles of medical and evidence-based nursing care for common diseases in children and adolescents
• understand the significance of illness and hospital care for children, adolescents and their families and are able to support and promote the wellbeing of families with children
• recognise professional and therapeutic interaction with children and adolescents of different ages and their families
• can provide client- and resource-oriented guidance to children and young people and their families, taking into account their everyday coping needs
• can support children, adolescents and their families and take into account the ethical aspects of nursing
• know the factors related to patient safety and quality of care in the nursing of children, adolescents and families
