Objective

Students will be able to
- recognise differences in formality registers
- choose appropriate styles for communication situations
- recognise the difference between spoken and written language
- identify the characteristics of conversation
- continue to build their Finnish vocabulary

Content

- formal style, informal style
- text types, genres
- standard language, spoken language
- formal and informal conversation, conversation analysis
- synonymy, homonymy, polysemy, stylistic nuance of words

Qualifications

Osallistuminen edellyttää edeltävien KIK-opintojaksojen suorittamista, ellei opinto-ohjaajan kanssa ole toisin sovittu.
