Objective

Students
• plan, implement and evaluate multidisciplinary evidence-based mental health and substance abuse care for customers/patients of different ages in multisectoral collaboration
• can take into account the stages of the recovery and rehabilitation process of the customer/patient, the overall situation and the role of the patient’s experience-based knowledge
• can take responsibility as a member of a multiprofessional team and develop their self-management skills as a registered nurse
• can use and apply the assessment, guidance and helping methods of mental health and substance abuse work and health technology applications
• can plan, execute and evaluate under supervision the pharmacotherapy of customers/patients of various ages
• can apply the values and ethical principles and legislation and guidelines of the health sector in their own work
• can interact with customers/patients in a way that respects their participation and agency
• can use various methods in mental health and substance abuse treatment and the promotion of health and functional capacity as well as in preventative work
• can execute service coordination and referrals to treatment and use customer- and partnership-oriented methods in a systematic way
• can evaluate service systems from the perspective of the service needs of social and health services and sustainable development and identify areas of development
• can use health technology applications in the care and self-care of customers/patients
• can analyse and assess the ethical challenges related to mental health and substance abuse work and the use of health technology applications
• can describe and assess the establishment of a professional identity as a continuously developing process and can use job supervision
