Objective
After completing the course, the student will be able to
- analyse ethical questions and the implementation of equality in the management of services for older people
- evaluate the opportunities and challenges of ethical leadership, as well as assess the effects of ethical factors within the work community and sustainable solutions in developing the work community
- apply research knowledge in strengthening the ethical competence of the work community.
Content
The study unit includes the following learning modules:
- Equality in services for older people
- Ethical competence and skills in the work community
- Sustainable leadership and development of ethical competence in the work community
- Addressing ethically challenging situations in the work community
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The student will be able to
- define the significance of ethical principles in diverse services for older people
- apply ethical principles of services for older people in their actions and leadership
- apply ethically sustainable management principles in supervisory work
- define ethical agency and competence within the work community, as well as their significance for workplace well-being.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The student will be able to
- apply ethical principles in their activities within diverse services for older people
- implement ethical principles of services for older people in both their actions and leadership
- implement ethically sustainable management principles in supervisory work
- analyse the ethical agency and competence of the work community and their significance for workplace well-being.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The student will be able to
- critically evaluate ethical principles in diverse services for older people
- manage services for older people in accordance with ethical principles
- apply ethically sustainable management principles innovatively in supervisory work
- critically analyse the ethical agency and competence of the work community, as well as assess their significance for workplace well-being and resources.
