Objective
Students
• know how to plan, execute and develop youth work together with young people, their families and other employees
• know how to support and strengthen the inclusion and agency of children, young people and their families in the parish
• know how to apply methods that support community, inclusion and resources when working with children, young people and their families
• know how to plan, execute and develop confirmation classes and other forms of church youth work together with parishioners and employees
• know how to utilise digital communication as a tool in youth work and Christian education
• understand the unique questions related to working with children and young people and know how to collaborate with other professionals
• know the basis of outreach youth work and youth service coordination
• know how to develop church service and devotional life together with families and employees
Content
• confirmation classes and camp counsellors
• early childhood education and other forms of youth work at church
• methods of group activities, group safety, camping and hiking
• digital youth work
• collaboration in multidisciplinary networks
• spirituality and spiritual guidance of children and young people
• crisis work and the unique questions related to pastoral care with children and young people
• development of church services and devotional life from the viewpoint of youth work
