Objective

Work ability and well-being are key factors in the success of organisations and the sustainable development of working life. Although responsibility for maintaining them lies with the entire work community, leadership and pre-personal work play a crucial role. Leadership that identifies and considers people's resources, promotes the work community's functioning practices and aligns them with the organization's strategic goals, builds a meaningful workday, and strengthens productivity.

After the course:

You will recognize the components of work ability and well-being from the perspective of the individual, the work community, and the organization.
You will recognize the principles of sustainable development in working life and understand their connection to productivity and well-being at work.
You will be able to evaluate and manage work ability and well-being from both strategic and daily management perspectives.
You will know the key partners that support leadership.

Content

The course on managing work ability and well-being offers you perspectives and methods for strategic and daily management of work ability and well-being.

Key content includes:
the diversity of work ability and well-being
supervisory work in managing work ability and well-being,
occupational health cooperation, collaboration, occupational safety, and trust personnel work,
legislation guiding well-being at work,
supervisory work, and methods for promoting well-being
The responsibilities and duties of different roles in supporting and promoting work ability and well-being

The course is suitable for those who want to develop their skills in managing work ability and well-being. It provides you with knowledge and methods that help you support and promote work ability and well-being. .

Location and time

Opintojakso on täysin virtuaalitoteutus, eikä se sisällä kalenteroitua kontaktiopetusta.
Opintojakson toteutuu itsenäisinä verkko-opintoina, jotka voit suorittaa oman aikataulun mukaisesti 1.6.2026 - 31.7.2026 välisenä aikana.

Opintojakson Moodle oppimisympäristö avautuu soveltuvin osin 19.5.2026 klo 8.00. Koko opintojakson Moodle ja sen sisällöt avautuvat 1.6.2026 klo 8.00.

Tällä opintojaksolla opiskelet verkossa omaan tahtiin. Opintojakson tehtävät suoritat Moodle-oppimisympäristöstä löytyvän aikataulun mukaisesti.

Student workload

Opintojakso on 5 op:n kokonaisuus. Yksi opintopiste vastaa keskimäärin 27 tunnin työtä. Mahdollisuutesi oppia ja kehittyä tällä opintojaksolla vie keskimäärin 135 tuntia aikaasi: Koko opintojakson ajalle se tarkoittaa noin 15 tunnin viikottaista työskentelyä.

Todellinen ajan tarve on yksilölistä ja siihen vaikuttaa esimerkiksi aiemmin hankittu osaaminen.
